InfraAir |
The InfraAir dryer transfers heat to the paper sheet almost exclusively by radiation. This ensures that the material is heated extremely evenly, a critically important factor in the development of surface quality as the coating colour dries. An additional circulation air system removes evaporated water and the products of combustion of the gas.

InfraMatic - IR moisture CD profiling |
The InfraMatic system is the only gas-fired IR system in the world to permit power control by zones - in an infinitely adjustable range of between 2% and 100% of the installed power - for moisture cross-profiling on running webs of material.
 |
IntegratedDryer |
A combined system consisting of a gas-heated IR dryer immediately followed by a short air dryer. The hot exhaust air from the IR dryer is used to heat the air dryer. IntegratedDryer are installed preferably face-to-face after double-sided coating heads. This proven concept alone can ensure that the even heating of the sheet and the gentle start of evaporation are not interrupted prematurely by too intensive convective heat transfer by the air nozzles, which might cause serious quality problems in the coating.

InfraElectric |
IR dryers can be subsivided in gas heated and electrically heated emitters. InfraElectric systems are used where neither natural gas nor liquified petroleum gas are cheaply available or where safety considerations prohibit use of gas-fired dryers.

HCB-Turn |
Non-contact web turn and drying in a single system. The web run and drying concepts are in increasing demand for non-contact drying of coated paper and board. The HCB-Turn - Combining the capability of handling board at high web tensions with a space saving solution for an approx. 180° web turn and simultaneous high drying rates. The key functional feature is the ratio of the load-bearing nozzle beam width to the width of the return suction gap. Optimizing this ratio ensures a high suction rate (even with high web tension) as well as homogeneous drying in machine cross-direction. The intensity of the blowing air can be adjusted in CD by means of manual dampers. The pressure pad, necessary to support the web at high web tension, inevitably leads to some lateral air flow at the web edges. The air guard system is necessary to prevent air with a temperature of up to 350 °C escaping into the machine hall, which would mean overheating of the machine environment and minimizing severe energy losses on the drive and tending side.

MCB-Dryer |
Modular gas-or steam heated hot-air flotation dryers. Specially developed nozzles with double rows of holes create a cushion of air to carry the paper through the dryer on a sinusoidal sheet run, i.e. stable and free from contact. The special nozzle design and the high-temperature-resistant materials permit the air dryer to be heated to a temperature of up to 450 °C. The optimised arrangement of the rows of holes ensures absolutely uniform heat transfer in cross-machine direction.
